who we are
We are Duncan and Eliza and we have been working together since 2021 both in live musical theatre and recording in the studio. With two decades of theatre and coaching experience between us, we work together to offer direction throughout the recording session. With two sets of 'outside eyes' in the room, we guarantee to capture your very best performance and work with you to create the ultimate showcase of your talent.
Duncan
he/him
Outside of Studio Reels, Duncan is an actor, musician, and vocal coach based in London.
He trained at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (MA Musical Theatre) and has performed in productions across London and the UK.
Duncan brings his background in music, singing coaching, and music production to Studio Reels, recording and mixing to the highest standard to show performers at their best.
Eliza
she/her
Outside of Studio Reels, Eliza is an actor, director, audition coach, and theatre producer based in both London and New York.
She trained at AADA (NYC) and has worked extensively in London and Off-Broadway. Eliza also recorded the original song 'Tangled Up with You' for 'The Secrets of Quantum Physics' (BBC / Amazon).
Eliza is passionate about using her experience to produce performer-focused quality reels in a relaxed and creative studio atmosphere, showcasing the unique talents of each client.

Can I see video vocal reels from previous clients?
Absolutely! Check out some examples of our previous work on our YouTube channel.
How do I prepare for my session?
Once your booking is confirmed, select your material and send us your backing tracks (we can advise you on this!)
What happens during my session?
When you arrive at the studio, we will have a cuppa and a quick chat, adjust the lighting in the studio, and do a sound check for levels. We will then record your 3 or 4 songs (45-60 second cuts) in 4K with video and audio at the same time.
What happens after my session?
After you've recorded everything and feel happy with your takes, we will then edit, mix, master, and add some post-production magic to create a bespoke three minute reel. You'll receive the file which can be uploaded straight to Spotlight, websites, and social media.
How long does it take?
There is no time limit so you can feel relaxed and do as many takes as you like.
With that said, we find that most sessions last approx. 2 hours.
How much does it cost?
Our video vocal reel package costs £220.
Our video vocal reel + vocal coaching session package costs £250.
Our express video vocal reel package costs £150.
Where is the studio?
Our central London studio is in E1 - just 10 minutes from Liverpool Street, Whitechapel, and Canary Wharf.
We are a 5 minute walk from the DLR and Overground too.
Which songs do I choose?
Some clients use their Studio Reels session as an opportunity to try out new material, whilst others prefer to record their tried and tested audition favourites - we recommend choosing contrasting songs which show off your vocal range and acting ability.
Can I record a reel which is longer than three minutes?
Absolutely! We recommend three minutes as a standard (casting directors and agents tend to prefer this!) but we can record extra footage for £50 per additional song/minute of material.
Can I warm up at the studio before my session?
Yes! We have a piano in the studio and highly recommend our video vocal reel + vocal coaching session package.
This will give you 45 minutes with Duncan beforehand to do a full vocal warm-up and run through all your material before you start recording. Not only does this give you an opportunity to perfect final tweaks with an experienced singing coach, but it also helps to calm nerves and avoid vocal strain whilst recording.
